Center for Molecular Life Sciences

The Center for Molecular Life Sciences brings together research groups interested in understanding the fundamental principles underlying the organization and evolution of living systems and in applying this knowledge to development of therapies for human diseases. Research at the Center encompasses all levels of organization of the living matter, from atomic structures of the biomolecules to cells and whole organisms.

The mission of the Center is to foster collaborative research between the groups with widely different expertise including biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics and medicine, to promote valorization and dissemination of research results and to organize education in molecular life sciences at the Bachelor, Master and PhD level.

The Center of Molecular Life Sciences is based at the Faculty of Science, Utrecht University.
